Domblans. Fruit trees on the Royet property pruned for the arrival of spring

It was in October 2016 when a Domblanais resident donated his property to the municipality, which includes a house and a wooded park of around 90 areas. The octogenarian benefits from the usufruct of his property until his death. In exchange for this donation, the municipality ensures the maintenance of the property’s park. In addition, the Vergers de la Haute Seille association regularly prunes fruit trees.

Louis Berthet, the president, recounts the great maneuver of this Tuesday, March 2: “The maintenance of fruit trees, often neglected for many years or even since their plantation, often appears as an enigma for the worker. Fruit tree pruning is critical to maintaining tree health and productivity. It is carried out all the better in a team where everyone’s comments and observations help find the right balance. ”

This intervention in the apple trees of the Royet estate was an exercise prior to the initiation sessions to pruning open to all audiences. Please note that the next meeting will take place on Saturday March 6 at the Domblans Educational Garden.
