The Ain prefecture lifted, this Saturday, February 27, the red alert for air pollution that had been operating since Thursday due to an episode of pollution by fine particles, probably the result of the high concentration of the desert dust episode that persisted throughout Auvergne- Rhone. -Region of the Alps, and in particular in the department of Ain.
“The levels of particles have been reduced significantly.”
Through a press release, the prefecture indicates: “The north wind is very present and the air masses carrying Saharan particles seem to have been pushed towards Italy. The rates of particles have dropped significantly.”
Therefore, the alert was lifted at 4 pm this Saturday.
