Much of this body of water was inaccessible to fishermen due to the large number of trees that limited access.
A team from the Gardon Forézien company, assisted by Haut-Forez Trout, representatives of Sivom and the municipalities responsible for this body of water, had the great task of recreating this new landscape.
A body of water with undeniable potential
Some fifteen good wills responded to the invitation of the president of the Forézien cockroach association, Gilbert Giaoum. The potential of this body of water is undeniable for him: “By moving to category 2 from the beginning of the year, fishing is allowed throughout the year. Additionally, we schedule occasional trout releases to attract many anglers throughout the year. “
Young people also enroll in this program: “With the many university students in the city, we would like to organize fishing trips with them to help them discover this outdoor activity. “
As the day goes by, the work goes very well and the result is quite surprising. The preserved trees will offer a beautiful shade to the fishermen. Gilbert Giaoum also specifies: “This will also prevent the proliferation of birds, such as cormorants, which cause too much damage on the site. “
