At the end of Friday afternoon, the Montagnieu city council posted an online notice on its Facebook page informing the town’s population that the water was not drinkable. Warned by the Regional Health Agency, Jean Roset, mayor, must manage the situation with his municipal team in an emergency without knowing the origin and duration of this phenomenon.
An organized distribution of bottled water
Frail people and, in particular, people on dialysis were warned immediately. It is recommended not to use the water for food, oral or medical purposes and to dry the dishes well before using them. The city council urgently organized a distribution of bottled water.
This continues this Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the old fire station, Vérizieu route. The next water distribution will take place on Tuesday, February 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., same place.
