The showers of the last few days have transformed the portico of the Enrage cave into a waterfall with raging waves. The underground Enrage network, which drains all the rainwater between Saint-Laurent and Leschères, never ceases to annoy local cavers.
“It is one of the largest networks in the Jura and yet no entry is known,” reveals Pierre-Jean, a member of the Sanclaudien caving club.
Water can travel up to 20 miles underground, while humans have been unable to explore beyond 50 feet. Hopefully, the search to find the entrance will be successful.
