Swear. The tumultuous waters of the Ain: a breathtaking sight

The banks of the Ain in the Saut de la Saisse attracted a lot of people on Friday 29 January. The Ain flow had reached 450 m³ / second (according to real-time data from government services and their partners *). The show was worth the detour as it was so impressive… An idea for a ride for this Sunday January 31st.

The Saut de la Saisse is located upstream of the Vouglans reservoir, which stretches for 35 km. The lowering of the level of Lake Vouglans, starting in the autumn, has a regulatory role that allows the city of Lyon to limit the effects of floods by retaining water in the dam.
