The shared gardens project has now been completed, but the first harvests could not go as originally planned. The past year and its attendant limitations due to the virus have changed many events, including the gathering of gardeners to enjoy the vegetables resulting from this joint work.
However, the so-called winter rest period for crops does not mean leaving the garden.
The cold is a blessing for the earth as long as it is protected. On Saturday, a handful of gardeners gathered in the field to clean and spread dead leaves that will provide organic matter for future plantings.
