You have to go back to 2010 to find snow in Villars on Christmas Day. And in 2004 trampling a layer of snow on January 1. After a truce for the pastry chefs who therefore benefited from a winter decoration, we already have to think about putting the New Year’s Eve decorations in the boxes. For lovers of natural fir, this small conifer that ends up losing its needles ends up in a trash can or in the best of cases in the recycling center.
Only natural trees not blocked
Some outlets also organize tree picking after the holidays. For the fourth year, the municipality organizes its own recycling offering five collection points in the different neighborhoods until January 17.
Important note, only natural trees not flocked (without artificial snow) can be placed and this collection does not refer to decorations or plastic waste. As in previous years, the firs will then be crushed and used by the technical services of the locality for the mulching of green spaces, replacing phytosanitary products.
Collection points: Arsenal car park (in front of the René-Souchon gym), Feuilletière shopping center car park, in Plat-Haut near the Aravis building, on the Taillée towards the Aspin building and residence of the Hippodrome.
