A Gwinnett County Police helicopter spent more than half an hour circling above the Hamilton Mill subdivision in Dacula in an attempt to locate suspects from a Wednesday morning burglary.
Alert residents contacted police on April 2 after noticing three suspicious males on Jim Moore Road. According to GCPD public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith, officers responding to the 11:35 a.m. call discovered a home on Coopers Mill Court, which backs up to Jim Moore Road, had been burglarized.
Smith said police called for a helicopter to search for three black males in a white vehicle in response to reports from neighborhood residents.
A message posted on the Hamilton Mill Nextdoor site indicated a resident spotted three males dressed head to toe in black walking along Jim Moore Road and notified authorities. Another resident reportedly contacted police after seeing males sitting behind some bushes on Jim Moore Road.
No suspects were located, Smith said.
The burglary is the fourth burglary reported in the Dacula subdivision within the past few weeks. Two other homes which have been burglarized also back up to Jim Moore Road.
More details will be posted when available.
