PARKING SPOT ALTERCATION: A dispute over a parking spot at the Mall of Georgia prompted a Lawrenceville woman to contact police on April 12. The 42-year-old woman told police she "did not try to take the parking spot from the male," but the report did not include any further details regarding the origins of the parking spot dispute. The male reportedly became angry and approached the woman's vehicle while she was still inside, ultimately striking the passenger side of the woman's vehicle with his hand. According to the police report, the woman "wanted to prosecute the male for him terrorizing her." The woman was able to provide police with a tag number of the man's vehicle. The case is listed as active.
STOLEN WALLET: A thief used a Buford man's debit card to make more than $3,000 worth of purchases after stealing the man's wallet out of a locker at a Buford Drive gym. The Buford man said he placed his wallet and other belongings in a locker while he worked out at Body Plex on April 10. When he returned to his locker, he noticed the lock was missing and his wallet was gone. The thief attempted to make a purchase at Best Buy on Woodward Crossing Boulevard using a card that was declined. The thief was then able to successfully complete the purchase using the man's debit card. The officer obtained video footage of the suspect from the store. The suspect was described as a "light-skinned black male, over 50 years of age, dressed very nicely, wearing a nice watch, yellow hat and tan pants."
