The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) and the Aviation Institute of Maintenance will co-sponsor a job expo in Gwinnett County on Wednesday, April 9, for veterans, their family members, active duty personnel, military retirees, National Guard, U.S. reserve units and others.
Representatives of the GDOL's Veterans Unit and other organizations will be on hand to provide assistance with employment-related and other issues that concern veterans.
Employers expected to participate in the job expo include Allied Barton Security Service, Applebee’s Restaurants, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Best Buy Retail and Service Center (Geek Squad), Bobby Dodd Organization, Caterpillar, Charter Communications, Cobb County Public Safety Department, Comcast Telesales, Disabled American Vets, DeKalb County Police Department, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Dunbar Armored, Enterprise Rent A Car, Farmers Insurance Group, Fastenal Company, Federal Bureau of Investigation, First Data, Flying Food Group, Gate Gourmet, Georgia Department of Labor, Georgia Department of Public Safety, Goodwill of North Georgia, Gwinnett County Police Department, Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services, Gwinnett Schools-Transport Division, Gwinnett Tech-Veterans Affairs Office, Institute for Veterans Health, Johnson Service Group, Locumtenens, Lowe’s, Meggitt Training Systems, Millennium Security Services, Murray Guard, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Penske Automotive Group, PNC Bank, Schneider National, Summitridge Hospital, The Myers Group, The Vet Center – Lawrenceville and Mobile Center, TRC Staffing Services, UPS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Navy Reserve, and U.S. Penitentiary-Atlanta.
The expo will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the Aviation Institute, 2025 Satellite Pointe, Duluth.
