As part of its 2014 Take the Pledge campaign, Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful has launched another initiative aimed at motivating citizens, local businesses and community organizations to become environmental stewards.
“Pledge-a-Palooza represents a fun way for Gwinnett County residents and businesses to do their part for their local community,” said Connie Wiggins, Executive Director for Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful in a released statement. “We had a terrific response to our last initiative – Great American Cleanup – Gwinnett Challenge 2014 – where we were able to engage more than 16,000 Georgians, collect more than 6000 pounds of recyclables, build a community playground, beautify 178 miles of roadway, and more over the course of 92 days. We are hoping to keep that same energy going with Pledge-a-Palooza.”
All submissions received by the close of business on Tuesday, July 1, will be considered for one of 20 prizes of $100 each. Winners will be selected at random from submissions received and will be announced the week of July 7, 2014.
