Heavy rains last summer delayed the opening of the Georgia Gun Club from fall of 2013 to February 2014. Now, the opening date has been pushed back once again.
According to Kristi Gorinas, membership manager for the Georgia Gun Club, the 32,000-square-foot facility is now expected to open in May.
A post on the Georgia Gun Club Facebook page indicated the delay was due to two issues -- one of which was again weather related.
"We sincerely apologize for the delays, but rest assured we are moving forward with the Georgia Gun Club," the post stated. "Due to weather delays and a minor issue between the contractor and Gwinnett County, our opening date will be sometime in May 2014."
The Georgia Gun Club will feature 28 indoor lanes including a 100-yard indoor rifle range. The facility will also house an 8,000-square-foot retail center. A temporary retail store is currently located at 1944 Braselton Highway, Suite 108, Buford.
Membership packages are available for purchase. Visit the Georgia Gun Club website for additional information.
