The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for much of northern Georgia, including Gwinnett County. The watch remains in effect through tonight.
Rain, possibly heavy at times, is expected to spread into central Georgia Monday afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are possible today and tonight.
A flood watch means there is potential for flooding based on current forecasts. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
