A burglar or burglars smashed the glass in a back door to gain access to a Dacula home on March 26.
The Hamilton Mill resident told Gwinnett County Police that she left her Ridgemill Circle home at 6 a.m. and returned around 4:15 p.m. When she entered her house through the garage, she immediately noticed the back door glass had been shattered and several electronic items that had been stored under the television were missing.
Police are also investigating a March 27 daytime burglary which occurred in a nearby section of Hamilton Mill. The report regarding that incident is not yet available. A third incident, believed to be an attempted burglary, took place during daylight hours earlier this month. In that incident, the resident was at home when an unknown person cut a hole in the glass of the first pane of a basement window. The person or persons who broke the glass were gone by the time the resident made it downstairs to investigate the noise.
