A faulty fire sensor forced the evacuated of Dacula Middle School on Friday afternoon.
"We put our evacuation plan immediately into action to ensure students were safe while we assessed the situation," Dacula Middle School principal Dr. Kellye Riggins wrote in an April 25 email to parents. "In light of recent events last week, in which we evacuated the school due to a threat, I wanted to make you aware of today's evacuation and reassure you that this was unrelated to any threat."
Students returned to class and were dismissed on schedule, Riggins added.
