Less than a month after Dacula City Councilman Greg Reeves was arrested on a theft charge related to the alleged misuse of a city-issued credit card, the Dacula City Council will meet in work session March 27 to discuss formalizing a city credit card policy.
Reeves, who as of March 26 was still serving on the city council, is accused of making approximately $3,600 worth of improper charges with his city-issued credit card. The misuse reportedly included using the card to pay for a rental car which Reeves used in his job as a pizza deliveryman.
According to Dacula Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks, the city has not previously had a written policy regarding the use of city-issued credit cards, only a verbal one.
