"The Gwinnett Parks Foundation is pleased to commemorate Karina Miller through this gift to Gwinnett County for the playground in her name at Little Mulberry Park, where she and her family ensured that the public could enjoy the natural beauty of that property now and for the future," said foundation chairman Mike Levengood in a released statement.
The playground is part of the third phase of the park's development and is slated to open in July according to Gwinnett Parks and Recreation Division Director Tina Fleming. The entrance for the newest section is located at 3800 Hog Mountain Road in Dacula.
Several other additions are currently under construction at Little Mulberry including an observation platform and a disc golf course.
