A development group has proposed rezoning 22.12 acres on Mount Moriah Road from RA-200 (agriculture-residence district) to R-100 (single-family residence district) modified for the purpose of constructing a 44-home subdivision.
In the rezoning request, applicant 4WS Properties LLC based in Lawrenceville asserted the development will "further the intent of the Gwinnett County 2030 Unified Plan and will be compatible with the surrounding and adjacent properties."
"The proposed development will enhance the area by bringing high quality development to this part of Gwinnett County," the request stated. "The applicant submits the proposed development will attract new residents, increasing the tax base without overburdening county schools and infrastructure."
The case is scheduled to go before the Gwinnett County Planning Commission on Tuesday, April 1.
